1. Product scope
Prompt Generator is a Chrome extension and website that turns user-provided text into structured prompts for text, image, and video AI tools. The extension processes text only when you choose to generate a prompt, use the context menu, or use the enabled Double Ctrl+C shortcut inside a text field.
2. Data we collect
We collect only the data needed to run the product:
- Prompt requests you submit and generated prompt responses while the request is processed.
- Usage metadata such as prompt mode, input length, output length, model provider, status, and latency.
- Quota identifiers such as an install ID, hashed license key, plan, quota period, usage count, and reset time.
- License activation data needed to verify a Lemon Squeezy license key through the shared Licensing Manager backend.
- Contact form data such as name, email, subject, message, page URL, captcha answer, user agent, and IP-based rate-limit signals.
Prompt Generator does not store raw prompt history by default. Usage logs are designed to store operational metadata, not the full text you submit.
3. How we use data
- Generate a prompt from the text you submit.
- Apply free, weekly, monthly, yearly, or lifetime fair-use limits.
- Activate, validate, and remember license status on the web and extension.
- Protect the API and contact form from spam, abuse, and automated attacks.
- Respond to support, licensing, product feedback, or early access messages.
- Debug reliability issues and measure aggregate service health.
4. Third-party processors
We use trusted service providers to operate the product:
- DeepSeek for AI prompt generation.
- Supabase for quota, usage, and product database storage.
- Lemon Squeezy for checkout, subscriptions, invoices, and license keys.
- Resend for support/contact notification email.
- Vercel for hosting the website and API routes.
- Google Chrome Web Store for extension listing, installation, and updates.
5. Cookies and local storage
The website and extension may use cookies or local storage to remember an anonymous install ID, license activation state, and demo preferences. These values help keep quotas consistent and allow a license to work across the website and extension on the same browser.
6. Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Data received from the Chrome extension is used only to provide and improve user-facing prompt generation, licensing, quota enforcement, support, security, and reliability. We do not sell extension data, use it for unrelated advertising, or transfer it except as needed to operate the product and comply with law.
7. Security and retention
We use environment-based secrets, server-side license verification, hashed quota identifiers, captcha, and rate limits. We keep operational records only as long as needed for service reliability, abuse prevention, licensing, support, accounting, or legal requirements.
8. Your choices
You can uninstall the extension, clear browser storage, stop using the service, or contact us to request help with support data or license-related questions. Do not submit passwords, payment card data, private keys, confidential business secrets, or sensitive personal information in prompt requests.
9. Contact
For privacy questions, support, or deletion requests, use the Prompt Generator contact page.
